Most rooms can be completed in 2–5 days including installation, sanding, staining, and finishing. Whole-home projects typically take 1–2 weeks. Wood needs to acclimate to your home's humidity for 2–5 days before installation begins.

In most cases, yes. We sand away the old finish, repair any damage, and apply new stain and protective finish. Solid hardwood can typically be refinished 4–6 times over its lifetime. We'll assess your floors during the estimate to confirm they're good candidates.

We offer water-based polyurethane (low odor, fast drying), oil-based polyurethane (warm amber tone, very durable), and hardwax oil (natural matte look, easy spot repairs). Each has different durability and aesthetic qualities — we'll guide you to the right choice.

Absolutely — with proper precautions. We acclimate wood to your home's humidity before installation and leave proper expansion gaps. Engineered hardwood is especially well-suited to Connecticut's seasonal humidity changes. We'll recommend the best option for each room.
